Masterclass in Ultrasound Guided Injection Technique
This workshop, to be delivered by Dr Vijay Palanivel, Consultant in Paediatric Neurodisability, The Children’s Trust and Stephanie Cawker, Clinical Specialist Physiotherapist Neurodisabilities Team, Great Ormond Street Hospital, is designed for injectors, who want to improve their injection skills using Ultrasound guided techniques.

BNN Paediatrics Annual Meeting
This 2022 BNN/ BNN Paediatrics meeting will welcome speakers and guest participants from all over Europe and UK with topics that have a direct influence on our daily practice.
BNN and BNN Paediatrics 2022 program
Thursday is a joint meeting day, and will welcome experts sharing with us their tips for injecting CD, BSP, HFS, FP, and spasticity, followed by a panel discussion. BNN Paediatrics will have it’s individual forum at the end of the day.
Professor Alan Scott will be remembered and his original studies will be revisited, particularly in the light of contemporary observations.
Friday is our BNN Paediatrics meeting, and will talk about upper limb injections, muscle changes,

Professor Alan Scott – In Memoriam (1932-2021)
The story of Botox from poison to therapeutic agent is largely from the collaboration of two extraordinary scientists, Alan Scott and Ed Schantz, who approached the toxin with completely different goals.
Professor Alan Scott has passed away at end of 2021, and we are honouring him telling a bit of his history on our BNN webpage.
We are very grateful for his work.

BNN Paediatrics Annual Meeting 2021
Our 3rd BNN Paediatric Meeting (2nd presencial) took place on Queen’s College in Oxford.
Over the two days we had great opportunities to meet colleagues, network with other professionaith BNN (adult injectors), and we also had very high quality presentations full of very interesting content and updated evidence based research.
The highlights were our forum of pros and cons of injecting toxin in children and rethinking our practices based on that talk. We also had our last presentation time saved for case presentation, were he ha very unique opportunity to share experiences, discuss difficult/ interesting cases and get different opinions of approaches for treatment of spasticity, dystonia.
We had also some great news about Merz having now the license for injecting toxin over 2 years old to treat drooling.

Unfortunately we will have to postpone the Ultrasound workshop again. We had the intention to have it in May 2021, but due to the current restrictions we will not be able to go ahead.

Due to unforeseen circumstances Dr Clair Lundy’s Talk about Dosage and Technique will be held only on the 2021 meeting.
